The Spirit of Water and the Mind

The Unconscious Mind Resonates Deeply with the Nature of Water

The spirit of water is one of the most complex of natures elements, which resonates  with the unconscious mind.  However, before we go into that in more detail, let us dive into the nature of water in more depth.

It is the element that binds and connects life together. The spirit of water has the ability to change shape, which makes this element one of the most interesting of all the five elements in nature.  If the temperature is cold enough it changes to ice giving it capabilities to break rock.  When the spirit of water is exposed to warm or hot temperatures water changes again into gaseous forms, such as steam or vapour. Water also has life giving properties and its purification abilities are well known,

A force of power, water can create havoc when it has been moved by another element. Such as an earthquake creating a tsunami, or during a storm where it has been whipped up by the air.  In fact, water needs an external force to motivate it.

Healthy water flows. Consider an enclosed pond of water with no outlet or inlet, left undisturbed can become stagnant or evaporate. Yet if you create an outlet in the pond the nature of water will start to move and flow to form a channel. Carving its way through the earth, rather like the rivers and streams. Flowing through the lands creating patterns on the earth as water will seek the deepest parts.

Metaphysically, the nature of water element governs the underlying energy of the fluids in our body, the flow of our communication, expression of our emotions and our unconscious mind.

Our unconscious minds are like the infinite deep waters

Our unconscious mind has a strong connection to the nature of water energy. Like water, the unconscious mind will always seek the deepest path no longer to be seen. Consider the depths of the ocean, where we dare not go as we are conscious of what we may find!

However, it is our unconscious mind that is responsible for moment to moment survival of the body. We do not have to be consciously aware that our heartbeats or our breathing create oxygen to be carried throughout the bloodstream. It all happens without our conscious awareness.

This daily survival mechanism of the unconscious mind creates patterns for survival. Like the rhythm of our beating hearts pumping blood around our bodies. Water is essential to life, but in order for our water energy to flow and function it needs a form or pattern to follow.  Like the creating a computer data programme if you like, to work behind the scenes.

Water energy has a strong connection to feelings, so it follows that too much water energy can make us too emotional. Have you ever felt so emotional and wondered if you would ever stop crying? Whereas too little water energy can make us seem too logical, not able to feel or express emotion and be too much in our minds.

Communication is like a Babbling Brook

You can tell if a person has a lot of water energy in their character. When they talk, they will babble, like a babbling brook going on and on and will only stop if another person interrupts their flow.  But a watery type of person are also great listeners. They have the ability to be able to empathise through there feelings. Yet with that can also mean they feel other people’s emotions much more acutely too. This means they may have a tendency to take responsibility for those feelings and lose themselves in the process.

To deal with the unconscious mind, in polarity therapy we work to clear the water-energy through the body. So that a person becomes more emotionally balanced, gains a clear focus and more balanced communication skills.

If you would like to know more about how water energy became a huge part of my own healing journey, I wrote a book about this part of my life called Voyage through the Mist and you can find more information below or it is available to purchase here.

“Very well written, you’ll want to keep reading to know what happens next, wondering what’s happening now, 2nd book please!”  C. T

“This was a fascinating book, full of surprising insights about the author and her life. The way in which various situations led to opportunities for the author within the context of spirituality was captivating. I gained an understanding of elements of my own life whilst reading this and I congratulate Jane for committing some very painful events to paper and having the courage to share these with the reader”, J P.

We all have a story to tell. I have chosen to share my very personal journey  of my earlier years so that some may find solace in reflecting on similar experiences. I hope that it will show that even in the darkest of moments, there is always light that can lead to a lifetime of intense joy and that, deep truth will always prevail.

Over the years, I have recognised that emotions are a great healer and teacher. We should not get too bogged down in the drama of life, but instead allow the process to happen without blocking or suppressing the outcome through fear, hurt and pain.

Words from Jane

Through my own personal life experiences, I know what it is like to be physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually fragmented. Using my experience of 24 years experience in polarity therapy and shamanic healing I enable a person back to health and happiness. Tailoring sessions to the needs of my client. Whether that be talking through your problem, activating energy within your body to release pain, tension, and emotions, using sound vibration to clear stagnant energy, journeying, and soul retrieval to delve deep and clear past patterns.
