Spiritual intelligence is the essence of expanded consciousness. It could be described as combining wisdom and compassion whilst behaving with an air of inner and outer balance and harmony.
In my last article I explained about emotional intelligence. Here I take this a step further and shed some light on what it means to be a spiritually intelligent.
Recognising a Person of High Spiritual Intelligence
Have you ever been in the presence of someone who puts you at ease just by being in their presence? Or a person who has a certain aura of calm, peace and tranquillity? Perhaps a person who makes you feel better, be a nicer person just being with them?
A person who has cultivated a certain level of spiritual intelligence will have a high degree of expanded consciousness and compassion. They will be interested in you as a person, not what you have, how successful you are or how intelligent. Human values are far more important to a spiritually intelligent person.
Spiritually intelligent people may have gone through a lot in their life, suffered trials of mental, physical and emotional traumas. It is through these human trials that a re-connection to spirit can evolve.
Some say this is enlightenment, although for many it is not so dramatic. But a gradual process of awareness of the very nature of existence. And although this may be true for many, others find that they are born with a ‘gift’. They already have that innate ability to tap into an expanded level of consciousness and be spiritually intelligent.
We Can All Be Spiritually Intelligent
The thing is we are all spiritually intelligent, its just that we have forgotten, lost the connection so to speak. We are all born with a strong connection to spiritual energy, it is the very essence of what makes us.
But we are also a creation of our inner and outer experiences. We emerge from the mothers womb, just pure bundle of precious love and energy.
Remember the radiance of a baby, looking into the eyes of the soul, almost like you are looking into infinity. But, as our minds and emotions develop we learn to deal with the reality of this physical existence.
That innocence can become tainted with some of life’s negative temptations, creating havoc with our mental, emotional and physical health. Unhealthy diets, negative thinking, lack of physical movement and destructive relationships all hinder our ability to become spiritually intelligent.
Awakening to Spiritual Intelligence
It is only when something impactful happens in our lives that spark an awakening. Which can often focus your attention outside to something bigger than yourself. An inner knowing begins to evolve as you search for a deeper meaning to your life.
To be able to contemplate the nature of existence, the universe, space, time and other metaphysical aspects can be practiced through observational thinking. The ability to contemplate these issues from a non-existential perspective often takes a life event.
Something that can stop you in your tracks, can lead you to question why this thing happened to you. It may be an illness, accident or losing someone very dear to you. For some these events are life changing.
But, it does not have to be a life changing event that sparks an interest in spirituality. It may be a gradual process, where you become fed up with your life and seek a different purpose.
The journey towards spiritual intelligence can mean you derive personal meaning and purpose from all physical and mental experiences. This includes the capacity to create and master a life purpose.
I am here to help you make sense of your mind and emotions, see your purpose, and help you bring cheer back into your life. Release stress and pain in your body, calm your mind and regain your health. Bring back your spiritual connection.
Why Be Spiritually Intelligent, What’s in it for me?
Life is happy and healthy when you feel connected to expanded consciousness. Living your life feeling love and compassion in your heart is a wonderful thing. To be able to feel grounded in this earthly existence, yet truly express your authentic self is one of life’s joys.
It is not always perfect, we live in a world of opposing forces. But the more you feel a sense of oneness, dance in the polarities and rhythms of life and beyond. Attracting the right partner, career, environments become effortless when you feel ‘connected’, plugged in to the source of infinite wisdom.
How to Become Spiritually Intelligent
Become the observer of your life. Look at the good, bad and the ugly aspects of yourself and those around you.
- Get a spiritual practice, find one that suits you, we are all different. Sitting quietly to meditate may not be your thing, but a guided visualisation may suit you better.
- Take up some form of mindful movement that does not deplete you; dance, yoga, walking.
- Become aware of how you think on a daily basis, are you thinking negatively or positively, or flow in between the two.
- How do you express yourself, with truth and congruence or disguise and lies?
- Let go of past patterns of behaviour, beliefs and attitudes that are keeping you stuck in a rut.
- Release the emotional traumas from your ancestors and clear the energy of your past.
The more you clear yourself of negative vibrations, the easier it is to enter and exit higher states of consciousness. Which mean entering other states of trance at one’s own discretion.
Being able to access these higher states of energy vibration make your life so much easier. It is like being plugged into an oracle. Always at your disposal to help you make the right choices for yourself in life. When you are making the right choices, those around you will benefit too.
Being spiritually intelligent is good for humanity and good for the planet.
