Spiritual Meaning of the Body through Astrological Triads

What are Astrological Triads?

Astrological triads offer insight into how spiritual patterns of energy form the psychological aspect of the body.

The astrological triads are just one pattern of energy that Polarity therapists help a person back to balance.   Polarity Therapy is a comprehensive healing system dealing with stuck destructive energy patterns.  Here I explain more about this interesting aspect of Polarity Therapy.

One of the healing patterns that we use is balancing 3 parts of the body, using astrological triads as a diagnostic tool.

Patterns of primary functional energy are formed in the womb and then activated once we are born.  Let me explain.

Polarity Therapy Volume 1, Book 1, Chart No. 5 by Dr Stone DO, DC, ND (1890-1981).

You can see from the fetal chart above the lines of energetic forces at play.

We are ‘Energy Beings’, 0perating Within a Field of Intelligent Energy and the Universe.

The Earth is a ball of magnetic energy with a quality of its own, and so are the other planets in our solar system.   How we involve and express ourselves in the world is due to the patterns that are created in the womb with a strong connection to the planets of our solar system.

We are deeply connected to the different elements of this planet namely, earth, water, fire, air, and ether.  These influencing elements are also inspired by the 12 signs of the zodiac, each of which also holds an archetype elemental vibration or resonance of energy.  These earthly elements relate to the basic building blocks of life.

There are 12 zodiac signs: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces.

Air signs are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius

Fire signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius

Water signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces

Earth signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn

When We Are Born Planets Are aligned In a Certain Position Within The Universe

Your zodiac sign is based on which planet was nearest the sun at the time of birth (and the moon, but that is for another time).  Magnetic lines of force cross through the body creating a triangular pattern (see fetal chart).  This triad as we call it, forms a strong energetic structure.  But also forms the basis of how you interact with the world on an everyday basis through your character and personality.

As a baby, we are Impacted through our senses by Impressions from the outside world

When we emerge into the world, out of the womb our senses are activated on a more conscious level. We are impacted by impressions from our five senses of: sound, smell, sight, touch, and taste.

Our birth planet and its element quality were in alignment with the rising sun at the time of birth.  This quality of elemental energy created a very strong framework that would eventually form the way in which we respond to stress for example. Therefore, your sun sign governs your outgoing psyche and how your physical body reacts to emotional stress.

But I want to talk about the element of earth in particular as, at the time of writing we are in Capricorn. But this also applies to the other earth signs of Taurus and Virgo.

Earth Governs the Function and Emotions of Neck, Knees, and Bowels

As part of a session Polarity Therapists treating a client may work in the relevant triad that is showing up as an imbalance.   For example, a client experiencing knee and neck pain is a classic sign that they need their earth triad balancing.  Once balanced the client will feel more aligned with their basic energy structure.

There are 3 parts in the body that create a triad (see chart above).  A negative pole, is always the lowest body area, in this case, the knees, a neutral pole which is the one in between, and a positive pole which is the highest part in the body in this case the neck.  Stress and resulting emotions play a huge part in how well your personal triad is coping with life.

Let’s look at the Earth triad in a little more detail:

The neck is a vortex for so many aspects of expression including:

  1. How you express your creativity
  2. How well you communicate your wants and needs.
  3. Grief and how well you express this, or do you shut it down.
  4. Feeling safe to be yourself and speak out your true thoughts and feelings.
  5. Avoiding your feelings.
  6. Suppressing tension like a bottleneck.

The bowel is a vortex on how well you let go of emotional stress:

  1. Holding on for dear life.
  2. A fear of surrendering.
  3. Feeling unworthy.
  4. Holding onto guilty feelings.
  5. Refusing to let go of deep routed negative feelings such as fear and grief.
  6. Lack of courage.
  7. Control issues.
  8. Feeling you might fall apart if you let go.

The knees are a vortex for how supported you feel and a stubbornness to change:

  1. Problems with accepting change and moving with the flow
  2. Feeling unsupported and not able to move on.
  3. A fear of moving forward.
  4. Feeling stuck, rigid.
  5. Being inflexible.
  6. Stubbornness and pride.
  7. Fear of failure.

Physical pain, discomfort, or tension in any of these 3 areas means your triad needs strengthening.

The Astrological Triads are One of the Many Patterns of Energy that I teach in Polarity Therapy

They are effective and easy to perform and are taught as part of the Energy Principles Practitioner course which is stage one of Polarity Training.
